Oils


Learn to use Translucent Oils to create a totally different look on ceramic pieces. This technique is great for wildlife pieces, or any piece not used around food. Translucent oils is a 2 step process, with 24 hours between the 1st and 2nd step. The first step takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours to complete. The second step depends on the size of the piece and color used, but is generally about 2-3 hours.
Learn to Chalk Chalking on ceramics is completed in 3 different steps, and is only used on items not involved around food or direct sunlight. The first two steps can each be completed in about 1 ½ hours, but must be started 24 hours apart. The final chalking is started 24 hours after the second step, and length of time to complete the project is determined by the size of the piece, and the colors used, but can take anywhere from 4 – 10 hours.
Dry
Brushing
Dry brushing is great for figurines and pieces not used in food. This technique is great for wildlife pieces. Dry brushing is done in 2 steps, but can be completed in 1 session depending on the size of the piece.

Dish Dine Paint & Wine Dish, Dine, Paint, and Wine is a new class we are introducing at Fire & Ice. Once a month we will be getting together to learn a different paint technique, share food , drinks and visit. You may bring your own drinks (wine if you prefer) or we will have punch or tea.
Twice a year we will have a bingo night, which will be in addition to the painting. Here are a few of the items we will be doing during the year. Classes will be $25, and you must pre-register/pre-pay so we can plan accordingly. Join us starting March 11th for Dish, Dine, Paint, and Wine.
